In November 2017 I went to Belgium for the 24th Brussels International Spine Symposium – the title of the meeting was:
“Spondylolisthesis revisited – Spondylolysis, lytic and degenerative spondylolisthesis. The controversies in ethiopathogenesis, management and costs.”
In summary it was a great meeting with lots of very interesting speakers talking about spondylolisthesis (which is a cause of back pain) and the most up to date management and treatments. It was a very intense two days reviewing and confirming the best practice and treatment of spondylolisthesis. It was fascinating to hear about the differences between intervention rates between different countries and health economies.
